While most dental assisting schools are thousands of dollars and take at least eight months to complete, Practical Dental Assisting of Oregon provides the same dental-assisting education for a fraction of the time and cost. One payment provides a lifetime of knowledge and sets you on course for a successful career in dentistry.

Practical Dental Assisting of Oregon’s expanded-function course is a 14-week program. You will train from 9am to 4pm once a week and you have the option of training on Thursday or Friday, depending on course availability.

With a maximum class size of 8 students, you will receive ample attention from the instructor. You will learn with hands-on lab experience, lectures, and lots of practice. To enhance your education, you will log observation hours in a dental office. By the end of the course you will master the necessary skills to confidently assist a dentist and thrive in any dental environment.

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certification includes:

  • Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certificate
  • Oregon Radiology proficiency license
